Ingredients with Strong Evidence
Caffeine (150 - 300mg, 30 - 45 min pre-training)
Caffeine is the most studied ergogenic substance in sports science history. It blocks adenosine receptors, reduces perceived effort, increases motor unit recruitment, and measurably improves both endurance and power output. A 2010 meta-analysis found caffeine improved performance across all exercise modalities by an average of 11 - 12%. Dose matters: research supports 3 - 6mg/kg bodyweight. Tolerance develops with chronic daily use - consider cycling or limiting to pre-workout use.
L-Citrulline (6 - 8g)

Beta-Alanine (3.2g daily - can be split)

Red Flags to Avoid
Proprietary blends: any product listing a "performance matrix" with total weight but no individual ingredient doses. You cannot assess whether active ingredients are dosed effectively. Excessive stimulants (DMAA, DMHA, synephrine): associated with cardiovascular events, banned in several countries. Artificial dye-heavy formulas with questionable additives.
Third-Party Testing for Athletes
